Been seeing this small insects walking around on the soil of my vft. Not sure if they are harmlesa or not? They do go away I think when soil becomes dry.ImageImageImageImage

Unfortunately your pictures aren't clear enough to tell what you're dealing with. Your description however sounds like springtails, which are beneficial insects that feed on fungus. You can look up pictures of them and compare to what you see in the pot. They're also named because they tend to jump when disturbed, such as gently blowing air on them.
