Hello, my D. capillaris has 3 flower stalks on it currently, and I am tempted to cut the newest one off. If I cut it off and stuck it in the media how many plantlets would come from it? I don't think the seed bank needs 30 packets of D. capillaris and I don't either so I'm not sure what to do. I plan to donate the seeds from the 2nd flower stalk to the seed bank.

I was going to suggest what Shadowtski said for a first choice. For a second choice you could lay the cut stalk flat and lightly cover 50% - 75% with moss, like you would do with a leaf cutting.
Worth a shot.
