Sundew help

Hey guys, so about 5 days ago I received a cape sundew in the mail that I ordered from amazon and it came in pretty good condition despite the fact that It was horribly packaged, and I’ve been keeping it in my little ghetto “grow station” where I have a cheap lamp with a 5000k fluorescent bulb and some foil to reflect the light downwards onto the top of a drawer where I keep some of my plants. I’m concerned about the sundew because it looks healthy, but it doesn’t have any dew on it. I’m not sure if it’s because it just hasn’t had enough time to settle in, it’s not getting enough light, not enough humidity, or some other cause. I’ve been keeping the soil moist so I don’t think that’s a problem. If this isn’t enough light for the plant I can solve it in a few weeks because I’m setting up a bookshelf with some 6500k LED shop lights on the bottoms of some of the shelves so I can put it under there if it’s not enough light where I have it now.ImageImage

It'll take a couple weeks to recover from transport shock. So have patience on that account.

Your Sundew looks like there is not enough light in its grow area.
If I was using a CFL for lighting, I'd have it within 6 inches of the top of the plant.

Use the new emerging growth as an indicator. When your capensis is getting adequate light, the tentacles on the new emerging leaves will be bright Red.

Good growing,
Mike
