Nep growing in South Africa

Nep pics are awesome! :D so I just wanted to post some pics of my own on here for the fun of it. I've renamed some of the pics. And others are recent ones I took. And yes most of them are still small. But the beauty of it is seeing how they grow to full maturity right :)

Have you found that some Neps are much touchier than others? Any that you've really struggled with?

They are pretty much an addiction yes... I have a ventricosa x campanulata with a few basals which struggles a bit in my conditions. The rest grows either too well or slower than the rest. But they grow none the less. My dubia x spathulata also struggles to pitcher. But it still grows and produces new leaves

Any of yours which gives you trouble?

Of my Highlands the N. Ventricosa, Burkei, Sanguinea, N. Talangensis x Glandulifera are growing and pitchering like nuts. Lowlands: Northiana x Bicalcarata, Reinwardtiana growing well but slower to pitch. The ones that seem to take more tlc are Highland Truncata x Talangensis (slow growing and finally tendrils are growing pitchers to be), Spathulata (again slow growing and slow pitcher development...none yet, just tendrils), another Truncata x Talangensis (slow growth of pitchers....one little pitcher). All others are growing as I would expect. With my slow growers I am trying everything I can think of....Maxsea, different food, Osmocote, more water, less water, more light, less water. I'm stumped. @javaliz59 maybe focus a bit less on fertilizing? Image perhaps they're still acclimating or something...

Love your pics! Thinking less focus on Maxsea would not benefit as I only spray the pitchers with highly diluted Maxsea and two don't have any and the third only has one tiny pitcher. I've had them a long time so slow acclimation is unlikely cause of slow growth and lack of pitchers. Wish that was the issue. Maybe I need to research N. Spathulata and hybrid N. Truncata x Talangensis parent plants again to see what I'm missing re: their particular requirements. It's a mystery.... Thank you for your reply and pics though. I love seeing that people world wide are passionate about these plants.

Thank you... I like seeing other's neps too. And everytime I do, I go to mine to see if there's any changes

Perhaps doing more research on the parent plants would be best. I kinda just went with the easiest answers I guess. I wonder if limestone powder or something would benefit my N. ventricosa x campanulata...

Not sure about limestone powder. Haven't heard about that. But knowing me, I'm likely to research it now.
I moved my N. Spathulata under closer lights and covered with food cover (think plastic shower cap) with a few holes cut in it. It should increase humidity and temp a few degrees. It tends to be dry here in Southern California. So we'll see.
