I'm a beginner CP grower and I'want to grow some VFT from seed . It's winter time and I like to brake the monotony here in Canada/Quebec.
Is this a good idea to start growing thoses little monster on december ?

Hi there, welcome to the forum.
You'll find some good information here as well as a community of helpful growers.
Do you already have the seed or are you looking to get some?
To answer your question: I think it's OK to start FlyTrap seeds now if you have fresh seed.
Otherwise wait for Spring.
I mostly grow Drosera, so I'm not a FlyTrap expert.
But here is my two cents worth.
I planted some (fresh) FlyTrap seeds at the end of Summer, right after they were harvested.
They germinated quickly and are growing pretty nicely.
I plan to grow mine over Winter, skipping dormancy this first year.
Next Spring, they move outside.
They'll stay there until freezing temperatures arrive to put them into dormancy.
At that point, they should be in sync with the natural rhythm of the seasons.
Matt, who runs this forum, has a lot of information posted here about growing FlyTraps:

Check it out.
The community runs a Seed Bank where members can obtain Carnivorous Plant seeds by mailing an SASE to the Seed Bank manager.
The seeds are classified by ease of growth and rarity.
There are some species that are available to brand new members.
Venus Fly Trap seeds are available to members with 3 months membership in the forum.
There is a link to the Seed Bank in my signature.
Good growing,
Mike
