VFT seedling sprouting a flower?

Any idea why this happened?

That is pretty darn strange. That thing is tiny. I thought it was a mushroom lol. If that is indeed a flower, I'd clip that. Flowers can be taxing. But maybe it means your vft will be very hardy and vigorous in the future.

That happened to a friend of mine too. It actually opened into a fully developed flower.

Wonder what that plant will look like mature.

I think he's coming from the idea that plants shoot up flowers as a self-preservation tactic and VFTs flowers taking a lot of energy
