Hi,

I would like to do leaf pullings of my VFT, i know that i should pull the leaves with the rhizome and put them in a wet substrate and scelled into a bag.

But i was wondering if it's possible to just put the leaves in water without substrate?

I know it's possible to do this with droseras but can it also work with VFT?

Thank you.

Yes. There is a post somewhere in the Seeds, Seedlings, Leaf Pullings forum that details what someone went through to do it about 10 years ago.
It looks to be somewhat complicated, and seems to take longer than simply putting a pulling in the media though.

I've tried doing vft pullings in water several times and failed each time. Maybe there's some trick to it. I don't know.

What I do know is it's failed for me each time I've tried it.
