VFT Germination: How long?

I planted a load of my seed from last year's harvest. The seed was packed in a small zip lock, and stored in a container not exposed to any extreme temp flucs. I sowed the seed about 1 month ago and so far I have no sign of germination, nothing. I have them outside, I had a plastic cover over them but I removed it since. They are getting good bright morning light and midday they sheltered with a little. The media is kept moist always, shredded sphagnum with silica. I remember planting some of Steve D seed a few years back he sent me and they were a few years old but the germination rate was 80%+ I think that might have been about 3 weeks to germinate. I'll just add that in all cases I let the seed soak for 2 days before planting.

Can you guys weigh in, what's the expected time frame until I call it quits?

What are the temps they're experiencing? When I tried germinating seed outside in Boulder, Colorado, it took the better part of 5 weeks to see the first signs of germination because the night-time lows were below 60F.

@Matt, temps are warm now, we in summer. So daytime temps at the mo of about 86f+ and nights about 68f. Maybe I should cover them over again.

@Greenthumbs Garden, those temps should be good for germination. Not sure why they're taking their time!
