You realize that you are addicted to these plants when you run outside with an umbrella to shield your plants from a freak hail storm. 2" of hail, high winds, lightning, but I saved them! My wife thought I was crazy.

WOW! Thats a lot of hail. We got some earlier this year. They were the size of small ball bearings. Unfortunately I wasn't home and it destroyed some of my VFT seedlings and a few sundews.

2" of hail is WILD! glad you were able to run out, woulda done the same! (luckily a small number of plants easy enough to run up onto the covered porch!)

good job! we get hail storms in Denver bad enough to total cars. got 2 new roofs in 3-4 years due to hail and my deck is still visibly damaged from a particularly nasty storm despite being refinished (don't get me started on that adjuster). luckily i didn't grow CPs then. hope my squirrel cage will at least help mitigate the damage of the next storm. by the time you know it's going to hail, it's already too late!
