I attached files of my venus fly trap, his name is chompy by the way haha, anyways I was wondering if he looks sunburnt??? I acclimated him for about a week. I think on the 6th or 7th day he was in direct sunlight about 6-8 hours, prior to those days he was in direct sunlight for only 2-4 hours. I'm making sure hes moist, using distilled water. What should I do?? Is he going to completely die???

It looks a bit lightstarved so its a good thing you put it in direct sunlight. The new growth will be adapted to more and direct sunlight so give it time. It will not die except for the older leafs.
Try clear the center of the rhizome a bit, there is media blocking growth and light

I second clearing the top of the rhizome. You should be able to see the new growth as it emerges. Maybe he is just a smidge too deep. I wouldn't worry about the color. It may be a bit of sunburn, he may also be turning red.

I agree with the other comments. Long, floppy green leaves usually does mean inadequate lighting. And I would definitely clear away the top of the growth point. Your plant doesn't look terrible, just in need of a little TLC.

It doesn't need any TLC, that's usually how newbs kill their plants.

Just leave it outside in full sun. The old traps will die off and be replaced with new growth that can handle it.

To avoid Sunburn acclimate the new plant SLOWLY to full Sun. Look up "Hardening off".

If it's any comfort, here's the pot of flytraps I put outside a month ago with very little acclimation.
