How do you know what type of venus fly trap yours is?

If it didn't come labeled, then it's almost certainly a typical VFT. It's possible to read the official descriptions of the cultivars and see if yours fits any of those descriptions. However, if it looks like any of the particular clones, most people agree that you shouldn't call it that and start distributing it. The cultivar system is flawed and flooded with all kinds of clones circulating. Adding another one to the mix or an improperly named clone just adds to the confusion.
