i dont have the ingredeants to make venus fly trap soil would a mix of potting soil and sand work just to fill in the space?

Unfortunately no. The potting soil will have minerals in it that will slowly poison the flytrap, as will regular sand. Flytrap soil should be a mix of sphagnum moss (either peat or long-fiber) and silica sand.

Why not just go buy some peat moss or order a flytrap soil mix online?

Potting soil contains a lot of minerals(N, P, K mostly) and because of that i strongly recommend u
NOT to use it.

Try looking for some LFS(dread long fibred spaghnum moss), peat, silica sand(or perlite) or live spaghnum moss(although harder for first time)
