Hi everyone, I'm sure similar questions have been asked before but I'd like a little advice please.
I'm going away for 5 days next week and I have a mini bog with approx 20L of substrate in it containing traps and Sarrs. I water it through a pipe that reaches a 2cm deep reservoir so it should get water through the bottom evenly.
We've been having a heatwave recently with 35c (95f) weather. We had a very short rain this morning and temperature dropped to 25c. When I'm away the forecast is between 27 and 31c (80-88f) which isn't crazy but it's enough to dry up my reservoir, maybe not in one day but for sure two.
Ive let it dry out before for a day and the surface stayed moist so I'm pretty confident in the watering system.
Worse case scenario is it dries up in one day then spends 4 days without a top up. Also, it's possible the forecast isn't right and the temperature rises again.
I'd prefer to leave them outside, but which do you think is better? Risk it outside or bring it inside on the windowsill?
