I finally gotten one of the plants i really wanted in seed form! How do I germinate this little guys? Thank you!

Keep the medium wet. Sow them on top of the soil. I put mine in a pot with lfs (peat works too) put in ziplock bag to retain moisture. I even put a little water in the bottom even though it is not imperative. Keep in light until they germinate. Once they do, you can transfer them. I tend to wait until they develop rather well first before doing it though. The u.vulgaris would rather not be in the shade if possible, keep them in full sun at all times, and they will do well.

They are, but you can germinate them in very wet medium. Once they do germinate, id get them transferred. Thats what i do with mine. Or once they germinate in the pot you have them in, bring the water level to just above the soil surface level. Dont overpack the pot with soil though, or this can get messy lol. They are easy to grow as long as once they develop their traps they are kept in water to float around

Probably would. I have some in 5 gallon buckets, and i also have them growing in a man made pond on my property that i have. They just float around and do their thing. They are easy to grow and require essentially no maintenance. Ive never tried them in a little dish, or cup in just distilled water, but i would say it would work probably. Mine drop seeds in the pond and i always find myself thinning them out, so they must germinate fine in just water alone. Its about 12 foot deep in my pond, so the seeds do settle to the bottom or maybe they float around too. I havent spent alot of time working with mine, as they were introduced by a couple friends of mine several years ago.. i do know theyll germinate in a nondraining pot with the water level just above the soil level (maybe 1/16in above the soil). When they finally do germinate, i gently remove them into a deeper area with more water. If its a terrestrial, like the weedy Bisquamata or a Lovida, or Subulata, i just keep them like a regular cp like a capensis and they grow very good in the soil using the tray method. Surpringly , i have the least experience with Bisquamata. They were not in my Utricularia collection until i placed an order with a certain cp nursery and they just arrived and took over many of my pots. Ive managed to eradicate many but they grow very aggressively from what i can tell...
