Hello all
My baby D. Filiformis var. Filiformis put up a flower stalk a couple weeks ago. I decided to let it flower since I wanted to cross it with my D. Intermedia to make x Hybrida. The only problem is, over the last couple of days this flower stalk has been turning brown. It started with one of the undeveloped pods, and then it browned the second one completely. Now the pods on the stalk are black. Does this mean the stalk is dead?

Here is a pic:

If it is, that really would suck. I will keep an eye on it for the next week or so, and if no new pods grow and/or the stalk itself turns black, I'll just use it for cuttings.
Thanks
Max
