Around April of this year I got a Drosera slackii from California Carnivores. As normal, it proceeded into a slouch period where I left it alone and waited for it to perk up again. However, it doesn't seem to have perked up, and while it's not dead, it does not seem happy. I'm growing it under a Marshydro 300w, with day temps around 75 and night temps ranging between 65 and 70. Humidity is between 65% and 90%. All of my other sundews seem happy with the setup. What do you think is causing this appearance?

Also, the slackii appears to be making an offset. Should I divide it up right now or wait?

Thanks!

Also, is there a way to get my photos to appear right side up in posts?

Drosera slackii is a slow-motion grower for me.
I've had mine since May of 2017.

I have it in the coolest part of my grow area under Daylight LEDs and it grows but doesn't really thrive.
It colors up OK and develops adequate dew. It feels like I'm missing something also.

If I ever find the $64 answer, I'll pass it on.

Your guys look like they're getting too warm. Try storing some distilled water in the refrigerator and top water them once a day. This also flushes the medium.

I would not divide it now. Let it grow and look again this Winter.

Good growing,
Mike

iPhone images will be rotated 90 degrees; possibly Android pix too?

https://www.phpbb.com/community/viewtop ... p=14772241

One solution is to download them to a computer first, then open and save using an image editing program. This changes the data and "cancels" the iPhone-ness of the image.

[untested] If you compose your messages using a phone, try first editing the images to rotate 90 degrees clockwise, and save. Then, when you upload the image, if they turn 90 degrees then they will rotate into the correct orientation.

The link above may contain useful code for preventing this problem in phpBB3. I just skimmed the messages and am not a BB whiz.
