I moved a Mother's Day refugee from the dining room table to my nepethes shelf. It now gets the same care as my nepenthes. It must like it as it is now putting up a flower stalk.

Ha - I like how the flower spike started one way, hit the leaf, and then went - never mind, maybe I'll try growing the other way! Nice buds forming - should be a good display come spring!

Careful - if you do this too well, you might need a few more to keep this one company. :D

The nice thing about phals is their blooms last FOREVER. Waiting for the spike/buds to develop can feel like eternity, but worth the wait for how long the flowers will last.

I have three phals in bloom right now and 4 getting new flower spikes, two of which are on ones already blooming.
