Ive had a venus fly trap for a bit and for most of its time, ive had in a window with sunlight, as well as got a lamp to mimick sunlight, got it humidity, everything and the plant was healthy, except it was green. No red at all. Then I found out that even if a window has sunlight, it still may not be enough so i need to put it outside.

I transferred the plant outside and right away, it got red. A nice dark red. Some plants started dying but i thought nothing of it, figured it was from the change and it wasnt too bad.

Except now its gotten a lot worse. Some plants still seem perfectly fine, green and red, but more are dying. I cut most of the dying ones and now dont know what to do. Should I leave it alone and itll grow back on its own? (Soil is moist and humidity is in 60s) or is it gonna die if I dont do something. Outside temperature is also only 74° F

That temperature is ideal for flytraps, so something else may be killing it off. Without a picture, it is hard to say. You say that the leaves were dying, how? Did they turn black and dry or something else?

At first, yellow. Then brown, then quickly black. At first it was just the leaves, but the traps were green, then the traps started turning black and folding back. Ill attach a picture in another reply

The really dying traps have been cut, this is whats left. The soil is peat moss and sand, and its in the greenhouse it was in when I had it indoors for humidity, but i keep the lid open now that its outside

It definitely does not need anything special for humidity. It does fine at indoor humidity. The soil looks pretty wet. How do you water it? The way the leaves are dying from the bottom to the top indicates either bad soil or too much water. You may need to repot into fresh media and check for rhizome rot.

I pour water into the tray, though last I watered it some poured directly into the soil. At first I considered too much water cause the soil got a lot more wet overnight which happened around when this started, so i let it dry somewhat (still moist but not too wet) before i introduced it to its tray of water - didnt seem to help anything. Ill try repotting

Soil is peat moss and sand, with some of whatever the soil was when I bought it (tangled with the roots so i couldnt get rid of all of it) and its been about 12 days

That mix should be fine, but maybe something more coarse next repot and, as many have said, not so wet from here on out.
Only having been outside for 12 days, your plant is still acclimating. It's going to probably look worse before it gets better with more leaves dying off, but the new growth should be acclimated. Probably a month or more before you see some strong improvement.

So as long as I dont let it get too wet, it should be fine? I dont need to repot it right away? Thank you so much.
