Well, I have decided to switch to top watering in the winter. How do I know when to water my vfts? Also my pots seem like they are freezed from the water inside. Is that okay?

Press your finger to the surface. If it picks up water, it is wet enough. If your finger doesn't pick up water, water it. When the pots freeze, you have to be really careful that they don't dry out. When wind blows across the frozen water, it sublimates it, turning it straight from ice to water vapor. In this way it can dry out really quickly.

Yeah I just watered all my vfts because when I touched them there was no water on my finger. And they felt and looked pretty dry.
And by the time I actually can know the weight of the pot it will probably be time to re pot

I wouldn't let it get too dry...
Weigh a watered pot, to a pot with just moist soil. Whenever you wan't to water, make sure that it's the weight of moist soil. Alternatively, get a soil moisture meter.

I have yet to find a moisture meter that works that doesn't break the bank. If anyone knows of a reliable, relatively inexpensive one, I would like to know about it. The $10 ones you see don't seem to work.

I got one because I saw a lot of people saying how they saved their plants and it had good reviews

The brand is xlux on Amazon. I didn't actually get it yet I just got it ordered. But it had good reviews and people said that it saved their houseplants so I hope that it works for carnivores too

I would just do the pot weighing thing. For me it's not worth buying something, if it turns out not working.

Well I will see when it comes. It had good reviews and they say that it's better than sticking the finger in the soil and even weighing the pot
