It does look like it could use more light. It is hard to tell from the pictures. The soil does look too wet. It should be kept wet but not soggy.

Do you guys think this is good soil?

Also should I repot? Or should I wait for dormancy

Really appreciate your feedback!
Thank you :)

That type of soil will not work, you would need to get something like this: https://www.amazon.com/Supermoss-Nurser ... NrPXRydWU=
You don't have to get that big of a bale but it's the best deal for what's in it. The other soil won't work because Flytraps are not air-cleaning plants, they are carnivorous plants and require FERTILIZER FREE peat/perlite and/or Long fiberfill sphagnum moss(mentioned above)and DISTILLED WATER Any other water/soil will kill your plant in a matter of weeks, perhaps a few days for your plant to start blackening.
For more info on how to grow your Flytrap I highly recommend visiting www.flytrapcare.com .

PS you should definitely repot, the soil it came in is likely potting soil and unsuitable for your plant.

thepitchergrower wrote: Tue Sep 28, 2021 2:11 am I agree with MaxVft, the soil contains too much fertilizer. You can also use a mixture of peat moss and silica sand
I agree too!

Thank you so much!

I’ll get that started ASAP!

I've used this combo of perlite and sphagnum moss with great success.
These two soil ingredients have 0% fertilizer and are great for CPs.

I found this

Can this be applicable?

The problem with buying premixed soil mixes like this one, is that they usually don't tell you if the mix has been fertilized. As CPhunter101 says, it might be better to buy the ingredients seperately.

Guys I had this artificial light where it gives red light and it doesn’t get very hot

Do you think that is burning my plant?

Here is a pic

I’m a little worried

It looks like it should be okay. It doesn't list any additives and I don't see any of the fertilizer balls in the picture.
