Has anyone run into issues with blood worms? I end up having fungal infections on plants I give even just one blood worm to, but no issue with live prey, or osmocote.

I've never had any issues with fungal infections, but out climate is not conducive to mold or fungus most of the year. However, I personally have some serious issues with an allergy to bloodworms so I've had to stop using them! I'm trying out different sorts of dehydrated insects ground up, rehydrated, and fed to traps. The first ones I fed to my flytraps about 2 weeks ago, which were grasshoppers, are now causing the traps to blacken. Bummer! Never had that happen with bloodworms.

These worms have turned some of my flava var. rugelii pitchers to a gray mush. I don't really like gambling with fungal infections.

I'd suggest you nuke them to kill any pathogens or spores, but then you would have the enticing aroma of cooked bloodworm wafting throughout your house.

Trust me. It took me a while to save enough to get my cats spayed. My house has smelled worse.

Is this pretty common? I just started using dbw because I am a little worried about using my maxsea yet so I figured worms would be safe
