I got some adnata seeds slightly over one year ago. Did not hold high hope for this species as I can only provide lowland condition. This species grows more towards intermediate altitude. I failed once from a rooted cutting years before. This batch of seeds surprise me. Not only that they germinated and fast growing, they seem to adapt to lowland very well. The largest seedling is already over 2 inches in diameter. Impressive growth considering just being 1 year old. I think they will grow well.

No transplant shock at all. This is how they look like two months after transplant. I cut and re-arranged the photo for direct comparison against the photo above.

If I remember correctly, the grower had to put her plants in an enclosure to create micro-climate conducive for adnata. She would not need to do that unnecessarily. That condition is atypical of natural lowland climate of Southeast Asia. I respect her skills. Probably a limitation of the specific circulating clones. Likely the same clone I got before.

The adnata seedlings are grown outdoor, exposed to the elements, sitting among lowland plants like bicalcarata and northiana. Will see how they turn out in long run.
