Hi, I’m growing my phal in a hanging pot, pure coco coir. How do I get them to flower? Thx. (Not sure this helps, but I’m in a tropical warm area. Very humid, and warm.) :D

Many require a cool temperature mimicking a change of seasons. I have had luck with temps of about 60 degree f and night.

Yes they require a cooler period to flower. I keep mine in bark and in clear orchid pots. Mine is in a west facing window. I only let them have full light in the morning, the rest of the time the blinds are cracked. Mine flower when they get a temp of about 60-65 F.

Mine are also in a west facing bow window that has a small porch roof. Full sun only comes in very late in the day and when that happens in summer I pull the blinds the rest of the time they are open. My orchids do quite well.

If you just get the stalks not flowers, cut them, wrap them in LFSM at the bottom’s, & put them into a large, sealed container, like vase. Next thing you know you might just have baby Keiki’s!
