I've only just recently started focusing on Utricularia and as such, my collection isn't super impressive yet. I suspect I'm in the minority of growers that actually appreciates foliage more so than the flowers; For me, a satisfying and successful pot of Utricularia is dense green carpet that's mostly free of moss, or an epiphyte with large and abundant leaves. I'm not quite there yet, but I'm working on it.

Thanks all. For epiphytes I use chopped LFSM mixed with sand and perlite. For terrestrial, I use the same mix, but add an equal part or more of peat. I actually have all of my utrics in low light. Intense lighting seemed to burn them. And they all get a MaxSea spray once a week.

My method for getting sandersonii to bloom? I set it and forget it :)

Thanks for the info. Did you read about them online somewhere you might have a link to? I'd love to read more about caring for them but I haven't found too much about growing them emersed.

Same here. I got my plug three months ago, set it up how Shadowtski recommended, and I had my first bloom last week.

You know you should never take that guy's advice, other than Drosera related stuff.

:)

Good growing,
Mike

I agree. The further out you get from sundews with that guy, the sketchier he gets.
I guess I caught him on a good day, and he was being nice. ;)
