Is it a good idea to get Venus in the Caribbean? Is dormancy required? I've seen people sell them here.

What part of the Caribbean? They grow well in south Florida so the Bahamas might work? Depends on whether light levels change

I'd say it would be possible but I couldn't promise anything
Temperatures aren't that important, hours of light are more important

If anything you could put it into dormancy indoors

It works supposedly but I haven't tried it

They need a change in light levels over winter to go into dormancy - so when you're in winter, you should have fewer hours of daylight than in summer

The question is just if it is enough to induce dormancy. If they're growing in Jamaica, it should be very possible!
