One of my favorite orchids is Tolumnia (also known as "equitant oncidiums"). They are typically small-growing, with interesting semi-succulent leaves and brilliant flowers. They grow very much like Phalaenopsis, maybe with a little more light. I have three currently in bloom, so I thought I'd share...

Tol Ester Oka "Lakeview" x Tol Triquetra - superficially similar to Genting Orange but the flowers are twice the size and won't get any orange coloration
