Thrive alive red plant tonic / take- down pesticide

Hi folks,
I recently picked up some organic pest control products and a root development tonic and I didn't see any threads that mentioned "thrive alive" or "take down" specifically. Does anyone have experience using them? They're mentioned by name in the Savage Garden but it doesn't go into detail.
