I wad strolling through the seed bank when I saw Drosera filiformis 'Dreamsicle' X Self. I imagined an orangish plant. Maybe yellowish orange. But it's green. I was legit disappointed

It seems like all Drosera are green or red. Some are pink. I had read an article saying that Drosera come in a ton of different colors, but I realized that the person didn’t have a clue what they were talking about. It had me hoping that there is a bluish green drosera

Drosera hybrids are often disappointing I think. Maybe slightly larger sizes, but there is often no other improvement to the resulting hybrid. It would be cool if more breeding was done to actually create unique drosera. As it takes a while for the plants to flower, maybe I’ll get some more Drosera soon and plan a breeding project
