Cross Teeth, Spider and Cudo are very distinguishable cultivars and should be registered imo.

Any thoughts on this? or any other cultivars you'd like to see registered?

I've not observed "Spider" before, but from photos I've seen of "Cudo" it definitely should be registered and I think it may be in the process of being registered.

I agree that "Cross Teeth" or "Long Red Fingers" should be registered too. They look very similar (so much so that I can't really tell them apart) but they are definitely unique enough that they deserve official cultivar status in my opinion. They look like a cross between 'Cupped Trap' and 'Fused Tooth'.

Niels,

You bring up a very good point. Owning two of the three cultivars mentioned I can definitely see a difference between them and a typical vft.

"Spider" grows upright no matter what time of the year and never puts out rosette growth which is absolutely amazing!

"Cross Teeth" is just a beautiful plant which produces quite unique welded teeth, along with normal ones.

Both plants are capable of catching insects and as you can see by my pics, my plants are small but growing.

Today after some sunny days in Ghent, i saw something cool on my Dionaea 'typical'
See picture here
Has anyone seen a Dionaea with the same red line in the middle of the petioles :?:
If the red lines are a stable trait for the grandchildren of this plant, I'll try to register it as a cultivar :D

It'll be one of the first leaf pullings I'm gonna do when my TC kit arrives...

Wow. That's a nice plant. The red may be to a higher level of acidity? I've noticed colour change upon changing the media.

I bought it as a 'Typical' so I'm going with that :)

You can see a picture here. Cudo is what they call a pygmy-VFT, a very small one.
It will never grow big and will always seem like a very vigorous plantlet ;)
