I hope it works for you. I tried similar netting to keep squirrels put. It worked fine until one found its way inside and then couldn't figure out how to get out.

Yeah the birds around here love LFS too. So it's all peat outdoors for me.

I have to do the same, thank goodness bird netting is cheap at Tractor Supply.
I usually use LFSM for most seeds, then repot the plants when they get bigger to a peat mix so the birds will leave them alone when they get set out uncovered.
