Hi

I am after a TDS meter but do not want to pay a lot
once you test the water and you find it to be Ok then it will be put in the draw
and probably not used again
my question is are the ones on Ebay for £5 any good

The cheap TDS meters work fine. They're pretty much all the same couple models with slightly different appearances depending on the manufacturer. The TDS-EZ is generally the cheapest one and only measures TDS while the TDS-3 meter also measures temperature and I believe will correct for it (since temperature affects the TDS reading.)
