Hi, I am new here. I am interested in the Sarracenia seedlings, but I have a quick question first: would they grow okay in a coco coir / perlite mix? This is what I grow most things in but I am new to carnivorous plants.

Coir works okay, at least that's what I hear, as long as you soak and rinse it several times. Coir carries a lot of salt with it and that needs to be removed. Keep rinsing it and measuring the total dissolved solids (TDS) until they are less than 50 ppm. I was thinking of changing but that process turned me off from it.

Thanks to everyone who purchased! I hope you're happy, and that they arrived safe and sound (If not, please let me know!) I'm undertaking a massive repotting project this weekend, and ill probably have a few more sarracenia seedlings to part with!

Just curious, do you have friends or parents / relatives with a pay pal account? Just seems like it wouldn’t be hard to find someone you trust with an account, and then the money is in the seller’s account and there are no delays or questions or potential trouble with USPS losing money. We have had cases where someone steals money from envelopes also…
