So the sudden cold caught me a little off guard and I left my moss outside. I brought it back in under a grow lamp for now but the poor stuff is frozen in it's water. Is this a lost cause or am I still ok? I was asking as I'd like to figure out sooner than later if I need to look to ordering a new shipment of moss to grow.

My first thought is that it will be Ok, since sphagnum grows in the north. But it may be a less hardy species and I dont know for sure since I haven't frozen moss.

It is various types of the moss.. not sure exactly on each one, one was a red type, a few greens, one was a brown-yellow range and the last was white ish to lightgreen normally.

Somewhere on here is a thread where multiple people shared pics of their sphagnum moss, frozen in blocks of ice, that evidently thawed and grew just fine later. Treat it like it's still alive, it probably is.

Yeah I think mine will be fine. Though it doesn't seem to like growing even when it was warm. Maybe I should look into adding some of my mix I use for my carnivorous plants to their trays =/

but thanks everyone for the replies! ^^
