Hey, just like to show some pics of my recently harvested vft seed! Its my first successful attempt at getting a flytrap to set seed, lots for potential givaways/seed bank donations Just a question, do self pollinated vft seeds resemble their parents at all, or are they completely different? This one is Justina Davis.

VFT seeds tend to resemble their parents but are not identical to their parents.
If the parents are of different appearances, the offspring could resemble Dad, or Mom, or something in-between.

If I self pollinated my 'Akai Ryu', I could not label the seeds as VFT 'Akai Ryu'

Proper labeling would be, VFT (seed mother) x VFT (pollen father).
In the case of the seeds you show, it'd be VFT 'Justina Davis' x self.

But, congratulations on your first FlyTrap seed crop.

How can you have seed already? Mine are just starting to send up stalks.

Well, different temps I guess. I was growing mine indoors for a while...so that may have been a factor in early seed production.
