Greeting everyone,

Have a small ventricosa that appeared to be doing fine, but the newer leaves don't appear to be opening all the way. I've had it about a month and I got a new leave drop. Growing outside in a small green house. Temp range low 90's in day mid 70's at night, Humidity range from 70%-99%. Was wondering since it a small plant was that normal?

Thats normal, nothing to worry about.

Yes, sometimes it takes a few months to adjust to its new environment.

Quick update on my Ventricosa!

Sorry to intrude, but Carnivorous Plant Nursery RULES!!

I feel everything I have received from them is always tiny and usually sickly.

Really? Here is my ping from them, it only cost me $6.00

They seem to have lower prices over all and a great selection and they are not that far mail wise. 3 orders 3 disappointments in a row, but everything i got is still alive, just tiny sarra's and the neps took months to recover.

I really wanted a "juthatip soper" after 3 months of the tiny one from CPN i placed a order for another one from Josh Lynch. the bigger one from Josh was like $5 more. this is just after i got the big one i am sure he had to trim it to mail, its pitcher count has tripled from that pic. The tiny one from CPN has pushed out 1 pitcher i think its out of gas from never going dormant.

I visited CPN and got a $6.00 cephalotus. Please attempt to beat those prices.

I got a cephalotus from him, it recovered, but the first few months were painful

It looks quite nice. You know 27 out of 28 of their aldrovandas were supplied by yours truly. If you get a smaller aldrovanda it’s my fault, not his.

Well luckily I am trading with the producer and avoiding the middle man
50 of my capensis were traded to him for a ceph a n vent n miranda and two flytraps
All dead exept for the ceph and miranda

Did the miranda take months to recover and start growing?

I have got plants from cooks that are pre order reships from BE that's weeks in the mail, and they recover quicker than CPN neps.

Please stop insulting one of my top three carnivorous plant vendors, only surpassed by cooks and their 50 cent sarr seedlings.
