Sideways traps on G16

I've noticed a few traps on my G16 twist 90 degrees they develop, but before they open, about +/- 40% of them. None of my other VFT's do this (that I see), so I was wondering if others have any VFT's that do this? Is this something that only G16's do? Do others have G16's that do this?

Before anyone asks: Yes, one trap is half dead, and a couple others are on their way out, circle of life baby. Also yes, I know I have a flower stalk, trapezoid of life. It will be cut when it gets bigger. Let's just focus on the issue at hand, the twisted traps, a potential 90° bend of life.

There are a number of flytraps that exhibit that "twisting" as their traps develop. It's a pretty cool look, I think!

I think I have several typicals in my bog that do that. I'll have to check closer when they are out of dormancy.

Happening to some of my plants too. I say as long as the new growth looks fine, You're good. Initially when I saw it, I thought I had a pest issue. Plant seems fine so I'm letting nature take its course unless I see any damage
