I love the color of cyclosecta and it seems to carry over. I haven't seen this cross before. I also have a Laueana flowering. I'm looking at them like "oh, they're here, should I?"

Why not?
The worst that could happen is non-viable seeds are produced.
Doooooo iiiiiitt!

So far so good. Looks like the bud is starting to swell. Hopefully it holds up

Hope it works out. Pirouette has me inspired. I want to make a wild complex hybrid. Couple years from now I hope to cross with gypsicola if it pans out. have some large blue kraken looking plant

OK, how do you guys do it? I've tried with my Ping and I really can't see any of the structures to reliably do it. I've researched and found some tips, most say remove the petals to se better, but I still cannot. Now that I got my wife a couple Pings, I probably want to try again. But, if I can't see anything, I don't know where to gather or deposit pollen.

Well when you tear the flower pull it gently so the structure is intact. on the underside, you'll see a kind of flap, the stamen/pollen is hiding underneath it. what I ended up doing was taking a pair of tweezers and pulling the stamen off and rubbing the pollen on that flap itself. Topside. I'll tear another flower and see if I can get a macro

Love these forward-looking plans for a purple-blue krakeney plant/flower! Unfortunately both my cyclo and my gigantea are sulky in my conditions, but you know what?! Hybrid-vigor! Cyclo crosses don't seem to pout in my conditions. Look forward to seeing what you come up with!
