Are Sarracenia, specifically "Bugbat", self fertile? Can I pollinate a flower with its own pollen? Or do I need to wait for multiple flowers and pollinate with fresh pollen?

Sweet, thanks. I've already got a flower stalk coming up, we'll see if I can get anything from it. I can at least make some neighborhood kids happy if I stratify them first. The seeds, not the kids.
However, I'm sure we all know some kids that could use an attitude adjustment of being put in the fridge for 2 months.

All Sarracenia are capable of being self-fertilised and will cross-pollinate with any other Sarracenia. If you self any cross of a cultivar or hybrid, the seedlings will not look like the parent, so with 'Bug Bat' (it being a psittacina x minor Okeefenokeensis cross) will look like one of the parents, leaning towards one or the other or a mixture of both. You won't be able to call the offspring 'Bug Bat' so label them 'Bug Bat' x self or just S. hybrid.

Cheers
