how do seedlings that are very small and tiny get food?

like any other vft

They photosynthesize like all green plants do.

they dont get any, all sun and water

they could though however get very smal bugs like tiny little red ants or small insects like that

I'm not sure. I mainly agree with Matt, but I think they might eat tiny little insects too.

I think it is all sun and water, for I have a baby VFT and the traps are not open, they haven't been since I got it over a week ago. Though right now mine is not getting much sun since it has either been raining or cloudy since I got my VFT. I have two, the baby came with the big one. It is hard to see in my pictures, for some reason I can't get a good picture of the small one.

My seedlings eat mostly lice and occasionally ants.
For some reasons, my pots are full of lice. Every trap captures almost every other day.
After 2-3 killings, the trap ceases to capture anymore.

how do you have lice in your pot? are you sure its not something else?

I don't know where they came from.
They are all over the pot... booklice by the way (not those attacking animals).
