They seem to sprout rather easily. :? Make sure not to fry them, is my only concern.

Just as a heads up, the pack I sowed due to mold has sprouted and has first carnivorous leaves. It appears to have about a 75% germination rate. This pack that is being given away has no mold, it's just getting on in age.

I've received them potted in a peat/sand mix, and I've grown them in peat/perlite/LFSM mixes and pure LFSM. They're pretty versatile, but I want to say they did slightly better in the peat/sand mix.

Don't know about hard, but this is my second time growing them. The first time I cooked the gemmae. Here are some links about growing pygmies:
