I have a Purpurea var Purpurea. I live in zone 7. In the winter, when temps fall below freezing, would it be in the plant's best interest for me to empty the pitchers of any remaining water or just leave it be? No clue if it would harm the plant to have frozen water in its pitchers.

The frozen water will not harm your plant, because it is very cold hardy, and I also live in the same zone too.
