Sarracenia

How do you take care of sarracenia? I just got some sarracenia rhizomes with my vft for free and I dont know how to take care of them.

same care as a fly trap but they get bigger.

Yeah, both grow on the east coast of the US.

Will a Sarracenia die if it flowers, because I recieved a Sarracenia rihzome with a flower stalk.

No it wont. They aren't monocarpic. Cut it off if you want large pitchers, leave it if you don't care.

Sarracenia flava flowers do a good impersonation of either wet cat or cat pee, depending on your sense of smell (seriously - it's overwhelming when 20-30 flowers are open at the same time).

This is a picture of stanley's sarracenia rhizomes. I told him they are sarracenias. Am I right?
