I just got a Sarracenia rosea, and was wondering if it is necessary to keep it in dormancy. I've heard that S. rosea is the laxest of the Sarracenia in terms of dormancy requirements. I would only skip dormancy this year, next year it would return to its normal growth cycle. Thoughts?

Thanks!

No problem, It would be fine to skip this year. Some say it doesn't need dormancy at all, others strongly disagree. In any event, skipping one year won't make any difference at all with regards to the health of the plant.
