I don't beleive Ras is an official cultivar. Chefdean sometimes names the random sarr seeds after the member that donated the seeds.
In this case, that member was Ras.

^^^^ This. The varieties of Sarr listed are the potential mothers and fathers. If I remember my math, that's 24 possible crosses and four possible selfs.

Nice thx for posting that pic tracieh. I have some in the fridge that are almost done and I was thinking of making a thread requesting pics of anyone who had any of those seedlings.

Sadly this is the only seed that germinated. For some odd reason this pot and another u had put in at the same time I marked down for 4 weeks of stratification instead of my usual 6. They each gave me one plant. Usually my germination rates are higher but completely my fault.

I tried cheating on the stratification also and got zilch. I pulled it out from under the lights and chucked it on a shelf in the shed outside to chill out a little longer. Hopefully I get some later this spring.

Moral of this story: 8+ weeks stratification on S. Ras.

same here, only 2 sprouts after 6 weeks stratification. Next time I won't be so impatient :?

Update on my Ras OP seeds.. it’s only been a little over 4 weeks since I sowed them and I only have 1 confirmed sprout so far. Hopefully more will come soon. They were in the fridge for 8 weeks. Can anyone send the link for the thread with peoples updates on the numbered sarr germination I can’t seem to find it. Thx
