Last year, I bought a Sarracenia purpurea ssp. venosa 'Big Fib' from Midtown Carnivores in New York City. It was very pretty then: the pitchers were burgundy on the top-half and green with red veins on the bottom-half.
After winter dormancy, it's looking very different:
It got dark red all over in early winter, and all of the new growth is solid red. I think that Midtown Carnivores probably had it in a greenhouse, and it lit up for me because it's in unfiltered sunlight.
