Sarracenia help

Hello, I have recently acquired some Sarracenia. I have planted then in my bog garden that is mainly made up of peat moss and silica sand with some lfsm and vermiculite mixed in. I have noticed that some of the pitchers especially the developing pitchers have started dying. The soil has stayed constantly moist except for a few days where the top 1/2 inch dried out. I am thinking it is just transplant shock but I wanted to know what you would think. It has been watered with rain water but some tiny grains of regular potting mix may have blown in but I don't think it would be enough to make a noticeable difference.

Pics would really help. It's probably just transplanting shock, but usually the forming pitchers don't die.

How are the pitcher dying? green and wrinkly or going brown, pictures would help a lot.

The pitchers are going brown and dying at the top. I'll try to add pictures later this afternoon.

I definitely don't think it's done for. Looks like maybe that pitcher that is turning brown might have been developing when you recieved the plant? (I'm just speculating) and its going through some transplant shock. I'd keep doing what you're doing, don't let it dry out (of course) and I think it will bounce back. I don't give up on my sarrs until the whole thing turns to brown mush!
Good luck.

it looks like old growth dying back, there is good new growth from the rhizome, there may be a bit of set back on the new growth if it is cold in your area, otherwise it looks OK.

Keep them wet and protect from any desiccating winds, till they acclimate.

It also looks normal to me. Older pitchers can start getting spots and sunburn as they are replaced by new ones. You should have new growth in the coming weeks that looks perfectly fine.

I think they're just acclimating. Older pitchers commonly get those red blotches on their lids.

The flower stalk on one of them died  . The Sarracenia x readii are doing better though. Would these pots be good for large sarracenia?(the 300 series)https://www.greenhousemegastore.com/con ... nt-pots%2f

Those pots look good size wise. Just not good for hot climates as they are black and will get hot in direct sun. Just my 2 cents.
