Here in Northern California, we had an abnormally warm winter,which forced plants to pitcher up about 2 weeks earlier than normal. However, the weather eventually cooled down, which slowed down growth. Overall, in terms of pitcher development, it it seems like we're very close to "normal" for this time of year: we're neither ahead nor behind.
