I noticed that my Venus flytrap has started to rot and 'fall apart.' I pulled it out of the soil and saw this (photo). Is this root rot? Can it be saved?

That is the normal coloration of the roots. Repot it and try to get the rhizome as horizontal as possible.

mine in winter, also they are always rotting on on end. when i re pot i pinch it off.

And what about the roots falling off? Isn't it a symptom of them rotting? They used to look like this:
