I got this a week or two ago out of a Lowe's Death Cube. I have it repotted, with a water dish and under a grow light. The 'legs' don't want to seem to color up. It's still looking very pathetic. I know there is an adjustment period but it seems the other ones I bought with it have started to liven back up already. I am now concerned that I did not bury the rhizome deep enough? I really think it's fine but I am trying to figure out how to help this plant.

I added a pic, It's very white at the base.

I'm not a Fly Trap expert but it looks deep enough to me.

Look to new emerging growth for an indicator of your plant's health and happiness.

Don't worry too much about the existing leaves. The existing growth will often go belly up when a plant is transplanted, moved, or exposed to new conditions.
It's worrying to see it happen but it's normal.

Keep your eyes on the growth point. That's a barometer of conditions now.

As always, just my 02¢ worth.
If I'm too far wrong, I'm sure a Fly Trap expert will pop in and correct me.

It looks fine to me. Generally the problems arise when rhizomes are burried too deep. The current leaves it has will always look spindly until they die off, the new growth that I see emerging will be healthier and better looking.
