Back in October I divided a pot of typicals. While dividing bits of leaves and rhizomes were left behind. Just for fun I filled a cookie container with some peat and perlite and made a little greenhouse. Happily I've had 6 sprouts ImageImage

I never throw anything away. It gets shoved into some moss somewhere and then I get surprised when it shows up.

Congrats! I feel this kind of thing happens to me about 80 percent of the time.
Only difference is, I use a blueberry container with several pre-drilled drainage holes. I often put un-rooted rhizome pieces and leaf cutting in there.
Right now I'm doing a capensis flower stalk and some cephalotus cuttings.

I tried sticking some flytrap flower stalks into peat TWICE. Nothing happened. They just got covered in mold. I waited a long time but didn't see anything. I think they were way too wet, next time I probably won't soak them like I did.

I've had no luck with flower stalks. I've tried a bunch of times. These were just anything that had a white piece of rhizome left on it.
